Basketball Recap: Aaron Mcfarlane's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hayfield over South Lakes

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Hayfield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 56-41 bruising from the South Lakes Seahawks on Tuesday. The Hawks have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Hayfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aaron Mcfarlane, who posted nine points and four steals. Rodney E. Carmichael ii was another key player, putting up four points.

Hayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 23-7. As for South Lakes, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-4.

Hayfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Lakes, they will challenge Landstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Lakes knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Landstown likes a good challenge.
