It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Varela had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Southridge Spartans as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Vipers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Jose Santos, who had 19 assists. That's the most assists he has posted over his last seven games.

Varela was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive contests.

Varela's record now sits at 17-6. As for Southridge, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Varela wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Belen Jesuit on the 1st. Southridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
