Volleyball Recap: Booker Comes Up Short

Booker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gulf Coast HEAT Lions. The Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Booker started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-23, 25-12, 25-22.

Booker's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Booker will take on Hardee at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Sarasota Military Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
