Fife took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the White River Hornets, sneaking past 9-8. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won five in a row.

Mallory Geving made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Fife let Kaitlin Christiansen and Mallory Robson run wild. Christiansen scored three runs while going 3-for-3, while Robson went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
