Basketball Game Preview: Shadow Creek Sharks vs. East Central Hornets

The Shadow Creek Sharks will be taking part in a tournament against the East Central Hornets at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shadow Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully East Central likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Shadow Creek blew past Judson, posting an 87-49 victory. The Sharks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, East Central didn't have quite enough to beat Steele on Friday and fell 64-62. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Knights are ranked 14th).

East Central's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Shadow Creek, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
