Courtland is 9-1 against Chancellor since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Courtland Cougars will challenge the Chancellor Chargers at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Courtland has six straight wins, Chancellor has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Courtland got the win against Culpeper County by a conclusive 68-46. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 299th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Chancellor came up short against James Monroe on Friday and fell 57-50.

Courtland pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Chancellor, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Courtland strolled past Chancellor in their previous matchup on Thursday by a score of 64-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Courtland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
