Basketball Recap: Horseshoe Bend Comes Up Short

Horseshoe Bend lost against Central of Coosa County last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Horseshoe Bend Generals took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central of Coosa County Cougars. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central of Coosa County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaleb Ballard led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Waylon Allen was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals.

Horseshoe Bend's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Central of Coosa County, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Horseshoe Bend nor Central of Coosa County have any future games scheduled.
