Soccer Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mount Vernon last Thursday, Edison came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Annandale Atoms by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Edison have struggled against Annandale recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Annandale, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edison will host Hayfield at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hayfield will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Edison surely won't give up without a fight. As for Annandale, they will look to defend their home pitch on May 7 against Forest Park at 7:30 p.m.
