Football Game Preview: Mission Eagles vs. Juarez-Lincoln Huskies

The Mission Eagles will challenge the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mission has given up an average of 32.1 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Mission ended up a good deal behind McAllen and lost 38-23. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite their loss, Mission saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alejandro Cano, who threw for 272 yards and two TDs, was perhaps the best of all. Shelby Sital was in the mix too, providing the Eagles with one touchdown.

Mission's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Juarez-Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything came up roses for Mission against Juarez-Lincoln in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 49-10 victory. In that game, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 35-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
