Volleyball Recap: North Salinas Comes Up Short

North Salinas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Palma Chieftains. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Chieftains this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss last Saturday.

While North Salinas had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 25-19.

North Salinas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Palma, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Salinas will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rancho San Juan at 6:00 p.m. on April 3. As for Palma, they will take on Pacific Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
