Softball Recap: Waltham Takes a Loss

If Waltham was riding high fresh off their 23-6 takedown of Malden last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks came up short against the Acton-Boxborough Revolution on Thursday, falling 12-0. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Revolution: they've now lost eight in a row.

Waltham's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Acton-Boxborough, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Waltham will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Winchester at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Red & Black have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. Acton-Boxborough has already played their next match (against Natick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
