Ilwaco wins going away against Ocosta

Recap: Ilwaco Fishermen vs. Ocosta Wildcats

The Ilwaco Fishermen can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Ocosta 70-47. Given Ilwaco's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Ocosta is ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alexia Bradley and Anna Davis certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Bradley dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Davis dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Davis is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Ilwaco, bringing their record for this year to 10-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Ocosta, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Ilwaco will be playing in front of their home fans against Chief Leschi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chief Leschi is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Ocosta, they will head out on the road to take on Forks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
