Lovett waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Woodward Academy War Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

While Lovett might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Woodward Academy scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21.

Kari Knotts paced Lovett's offense, picking up 20 kills. Knotts got some help from Ali Wainwright and her 15 assists.

Lovett's win bumped their record up to 27-1. As for Woodward Academy, with the loss, they broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 27-5.

Lovett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Coretta Scott King YWLA on the 22nd. As for Woodward Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Chamblee on the 23rd.
