Softball Recap: Pickerington North Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Pickerington North's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Pickerington North saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Mickey, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Kaylani Meadows also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Pickerington North has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Bloom-Carroll, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pickerington North will face off against Granville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bloom-Carroll, they will square off against St. Francis DeSales at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Bulldogs' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Stallions have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
