Basketball Recap: Shaw Comes Up Short

Shaw pushed their score to 50 the last time they played Leland, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Shaw Warriors were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 1-0 to the Leland Cubs. The game marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Shaw has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Leland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

Shaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leland, they will head out to face off against Simmons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Simmons' favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home while Leland has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
