Basketball Recap: Adairsville Takes a Loss

Adairsville lost against Calhoun two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Adairsville Tigers fell 61-48 to the Calhoun Yellow Jackets.

Calhoun's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trace Hawkins, who went 7-for-17 en route to 16 points along with six boards and four steals. That's the most rebounds Hawkins has posted since back in January. Blake Hammett was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 16 points and seven boards.

Adairsville's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Calhoun, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Adairsville has already played their next contest (against Luella), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Calhoun, they will welcome Jenkins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calhoun is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.2 points per game this season.
