Fountain-Fort Carson proved they can win big  last Wednesday (they won by seven) and  on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-2  victory over the Rampart Rams. The  win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Joseph Baumbach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned runs on six hits. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Fountain-Fort Carson's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Cody Greiner, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Fountain-Fort Carson's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Rampart,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-7.
 Coming up, Fountain-Fort Carson will challenge Doherty at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
