Volleyball Recap: Father Lopez Takes a Loss

Father Lopez lost against The Master's Academy last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Green Wave fell 3-1 to the Eagles. While the Green Wave didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-18 in the first set.

Father Lopez started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-13, 25-11, 25-11.

Isabella Bosinski paced Father Lopez's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bosinski got some help from Addie Dean and her 15 assists. Dean was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Father Lopez has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for The Master's Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

After both having extra time off, Father Lopez and Mainland will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for The Master's Academy, they will square off against Foundation Academy at 6:30 p.m. on the 25th.
