Baseball Recap: Barker Victorious

Barker let Newfane stack seven runs on them in the fifth inning on Tuesday but luckily Barker prevailed anyway. The Raiders had just enough and edged out the Panthers 10-9. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Logan Flint was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Barker is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-6 otherwise. Flint was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2025.

Flint wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Drew LaGreca, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another was Peyton Hirschman, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Barker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Barker's record is now 6-7. As for Newfane, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
