London got a massive performance out of Gwyn Wieber, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Wieber a new career-high in doubles (three). Another player making a difference was Khloe Cunningham, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
London hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Indian Lake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against North Union by a score of 6-3 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Lakers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.
Indian Lake's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Dixon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Brylee Buyer also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
London's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Indian Lake, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Indian Lake's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: London has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .493. It's a different story for Indian Lake, though, as they've only averaged .355. Will they be able to contain London's hitters?
