Conifer hadn't done well against Evergreen recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Lobos never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Lobos: when they faced off against the Cougars back in April, they had to take a 12-2 defeat.

Not much got past Casey Rummell, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Evergreen off the board. Rummell has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Conifer's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Axel Persson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Conifer hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Evergreen struck out seven times.

Conifer's record now sits at 10-13. As for Evergreen, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6-1.

Conifer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Evergreen, they will square off against Green Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
