Soccer Recap: Madera South Takes a Loss

After flying high against Yosemite last Tuesday, Madera South came back down to earth. The Stallions fell just short of the Sunnyside Wildcats by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Madera South of the 1-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

They hit Sunnyside with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Justin Herrera, Daniel Rocha, and Manuel Martinez.

Madera South's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sunnyside, their win bumped their record up to 2-0-1.

Looking ahead, Madera South will be playing at home against Kingsburg at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. Sunnyside has already played their next contest (against Reedley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
