Jacksonville won the last time they faced Northside - Jacksonville and things went their way on Friday too. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 48-27 margin over the Monarchs. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Monarchs are ranked 194th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

GAVYN DAVIS and REGINALD GRAY certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. DAVIS picked up 172 receiving yards and three TDs, while GRAY threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns.

Jacksonville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 45.5 points this season. As for Northside - Jacksonville, their record now sits at 1-1.
