Basketball Recap: Fairfield Extends Road Winning Streak to 13

Fairfield put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 58-47 victory over the Peebles Indians. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Fairfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Griffin Friend, who posted 18 points. The dominant performance also gave Friend a new career-high in assists (three). Logan McIntosh was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten boards.

Fairfield pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Peebles, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.

Fairfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-47 loss against Fayetteville-Perry on the 20th. As for Peebles, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-54 defeat against North Adams on the 20th.
