Softball Recap: Campo Verde Coyotes vs. Notre Dame Prep Saints

Campo Verde blew Notre Dame Prep out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Notre Dame Prep got their revenge. The Coyotes fell just short of the Saints by a score of 11-9. The Coyotes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Anna Zehring made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Baylee Peters also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Campo Verde's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Notre Dame Prep, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
