Softball Recap: Organ Mountain Knights vs. Deming Wildcats
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cibola, Organ Mountain was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Deming Wildcats. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Hannah Justus was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Siennah Otero and Caillin Reyes did most of the damage at the plate: Otero scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Reyes scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Reyes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zaima Delgado, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.
Organ Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
