Softball Recap: Millennium's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

Millennium has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.43 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They fell just short of the Venture Academy Mustangs by a score of 10-9. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Millennium got a massive performance out of Nora Coutts, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Lanie Gonzalez was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Millennium fell to 6-1. As for Venture Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

While Millennium had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
