North Valley Christian Academy picks up 24th straight win at home

Recap: North Valley Christian Academy Lions vs. Salome Frogs

In what's become a running theme this season, the North Valley Christian Academy Lions gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Salome 75-41 at home. Winning may never get old, but North Valley Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Leading North Valley Christian Academy to victory were Zathan Ruffin and Zac Ruelas. Ruffin scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Ruelas scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Ruelas scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jethro Maerina, who scored 11 points.

North Valley Christian Academy's win was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-9. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.1 points. As for Salome, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-9.

North Valley Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Anthem Prep at 5:00 p.m. on February 3rd. North Valley Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season. As for Salome, they will head out on the road to face off against North Valley Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully North Valley Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
