Basketball Recap: Kurt Moore's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Indianapolis Arsenal Technical over Fort Wayne South Side

Indianapolis Arsenal Technical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 65-50 bruising from the Fort Wayne South Side Archers. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Archers are ranked 65th).

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kurt Moore, who on his way to 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Moore continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Chris Ingram was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Fort Wayne South Side was led to victory by Terrance Jordan and Demarcus Barr. Jordan to rack up 18 points in addition to eight steals and seven assists, while Barr en route to 15 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Barr a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zacariah Belcher, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Indianapolis Arsenal Technical's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Fort Wayne South Side, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.

Indianapolis Arsenal Technical didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 86-69 defeat against Christel House on the 22nd. As for Fort Wayne South Side, they have also already played their next contest, a 74-33 loss against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on the 22nd.
