It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but DeLand had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the University Titans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-3 two weeks ago.

DeLand has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12-2.

Coming up, DeLand will take on Spruce Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. University does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
