Baseball Game Preview: Oldham County Colonels vs. Eminence Warriors

The Oldham County Colonels will head out on the road to face off against the Eminence Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oldham County will be strutting in after a victory while Eminence will be coming in after a defeat.

Oldham County is headed out to face Eminence after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Oldham County put the hurt on DuPont Manual with a sharp 14-7 win last Saturday.

Clay Cartledge made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cartledge was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other pitching news, Colton Davis looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Andrew Dawson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Josiah McCall, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Eminence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Spencer County, falling 13-2.

Eminence saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Shaw, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles.

Oldham County took their victory against Eminence when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Does Oldham County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eminence turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
