Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Illinois Lutheran Chargers. The Defenders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 16-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Illinois Lutheran, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Heritage Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on DeMotte Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Illinois Lutheran, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Iroquois West on the 2nd.
