Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian was the 3-0 winner over Illinois Lutheran when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Defenders fell 3-1 to the Chargers on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-16, 16-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Dannika Medendorp was nothing short of spectacular for Illinois Lutheran: she had 11 digs and seven aces.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Illinois Lutheran, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Heritage Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on DeMotte Christian at 6:00 p.m. on September 12. As for Illinois Lutheran, they will head out to take on Iroquois West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
