Basketball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne lost against Waterloo back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wayne Eagles took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waterloo Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 610th, while the Tigers are ranked 74th).

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Waterloo, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Coming up, Wayne will challenge East Rochester at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Waterloo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
