Basketball Recap: Banneker Comes Up Short

Banneker lost against Morrow back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Banneker Trojans received a blow as they fell 72-58 to the Morrow Mustangs. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morrow can attribute much of their success to Jameel Brown, who posted 18 points. Brown continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dayton Harris, who put up 12 points.

Banneker's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Morrow, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Langston Hughes the next time they take the court. Morrow will head out to face Langston Hughes at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Banneker will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
