The Rose Bud Ramblers will take on the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rose Bud is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2 runs per game this season.

Rose Bud took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 16-6 margin over East Poinsett County. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Ramblers this season.

Tanner Bell made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Bell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jay Bell was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Athan Hensley, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Rose Bud was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon-Enola came up short against Bald Knob on Monday and fell 5-1.

Rose Bud's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Rose Bud's way against Mt. Vernon-Enola when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Rose Bud made off with a 15-5 win. Will Rose Bud repeat their success, or does Mt. Vernon-Enola have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
