Volleyball Recap: Valhalla Comes Up Short

Valhalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fallbrook Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in February.

When it comes to explaining why Valhalla lost, don't look at Luke D'Alessio. Despite the final result, he had 17 digs. Michael Alkhurie also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Valhalla's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Fallbrook, their win bumped their record up to 19-11.

Valhalla wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Steele Canyon on the 26th. As for Fallbrook, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Helix on the 26th.
