Basketball Recap: New Deal Comes Up Short

After flying high against Smyer last Tuesday, New Deal came back down to earth. The matchup between the New Deal Lions and the Abernathy Antelopes didn't end well, with the New Deal Lions falling 57-41. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Antelopes from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

New Deal has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Abernathy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ralls the next time they take the court. New Deal will host Ralls at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Abernathy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
