The Immaculate Mustangs will challenge the New Fairfield Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Wednesday, Immaculate needed a bit of extra time to put away Stratford. They came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 13-10. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won six in a row.

Maddie Costa made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 15 batters over ten innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mackenzie Cooper was incredible, firing off two home runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Norah Whitmore was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Immaculate kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stratford only managed three.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for New Fairfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-10 margin over Joel Barlow on Tuesday. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
New Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Immaculate, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.
