Volleyball Recap: South Bend Saint Joseph Comes Up Short

If South Bend Saint Joseph was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Concord on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies on Thursday. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pilgrims/Rockies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Plymouth scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 20-25, 25-20, 25-18.

South Bend Saint Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Plymouth, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, South Bend Saint Joseph will head out to challenge Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plymouth, they will square off against Mishawaka Marian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
