Softball Recap: Agape Christian Triumphs

While Agape Christian's win against Shawnee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights won by a run and slipped past the Redskins 6-5. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Redskins on Tuesday, too.

Isabella Knox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Agape Christian's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maddison Richard, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Alaina Reynolds was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Agape Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Shawnee, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Agape Christian will head out on the road to take on Cobden at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Shawnee, they will square off against Zeigler-Royalton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
