Recap: El Primero Lobos vs. More Knights

After soaring to 60 points the game before, the El Primero Lobos were a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 67-14 loss at the hands of More. El Primero was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.

El Primero's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JOSH CHAVEZ, who scored six points along with two steals and two blocks. CHAVEZ hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was RICARDO GARCIA, who scored two points along with six rebounds and four blocks.

More's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vince Cortese, who scored 22 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cortese has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tim Selway, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 23 rebounds.

El Primero are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10. As for More, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

El Primero will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain View Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain View Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for More, they will head out on the road to face off against Mid-Peninsula at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mid-Peninsula will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1374th, while More is ranked 677th).
