Basketball Recap: Highland Sets Scoring Season-High Against Skyline

Highland scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 56-40 fall against the Skyline Eagles. The defeat leaves the Rams without a win on the season.

Highland's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katinia Olevao, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. Olevao continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Finau Langi, who posted nine points.

Leelu Bare was her usual excellent self, going 5-for-12 en route to 13 points along with six assists and six boards for Skyline. Another player making a difference was Ashley Price, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Skyline, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-16.

Looking ahead, Highland will head out to square off against West at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. West will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something Highland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Skyline, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Olympus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Olympus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.1 points per game this season.
