Basketball Recap: South Fork Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kylee Brooks and Vivianna Morales

South Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 40-30 to the Okeechobee Brahmans. The matchup was a 17-17 toss-up at halftime, but the Bulldogs couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the defeat, South Fork had strong showings from Vivianna Morales, who posted six points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks, and Kylee Brooks, who had eight points in addition to 14 boards and six steals. Morales is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

South Fork's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Okeechobee, with the win, they broke their 12-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-15.

South Fork has already played their next contest (against Martin County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Okeechobee won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pahokee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
