Softball Recap: Bristol Central Comes Up Short

Bristol Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Granby Memorial Bears.

Bristol Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Granby Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bristol Central will host Conard at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Granby Memorial, they will be playing at home against Ellington at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
