Baseball Game Preview: Laurel Highlands Mustangs vs. West Mifflin Titans

The Laurel Highlands Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the West Mifflin Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. West Mifflin took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Laurel Highlands, who comes in off a win.

Laurel Highlands' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over Albert Gallatin. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Laurel Highlands saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sevi Vecchiolla, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, West Mifflin unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of South Park by a score of 6-5.

Derek Tudek was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Laurel Highlands' win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for West Mifflin, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

Laurel Highlands couldn't quite get it done against West Mifflin in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 as they fell 7-4. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
