Basketball Recap: Hancock Central Find Success

Twiggs County came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Hancock Central, but Dontriel Grable wouldn't allow it. The Hancock Central Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 65-46 victory over the Twiggs County Cobras on Tuesday thanks in part to Grable, who made all 6 shots he took to post 22 points and seven rebounds. Those 22 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Ingram, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Several Cobras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daniel Pitts, who posted 17 points. Rikenzil Jenkins was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Hancock Central's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Twiggs County, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Hancock Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-33 victory against Glascock County on the 9th. As for Twiggs County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-48 defeat against Wilkinson County on the 10th.
