Football Recap: Wiggins Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Wiggins's offense. They were dealt a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Burlington Cougars on Friday. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Scout Humrich and Jason Saucedo. Humrich rushed for 171 yards and one TD on only nine carries while Saucedo rushed for 80 yards and a pair of scores. With that strong performance, Humrich is now averaging an impressive 100.4 rushing yards per game.

Wiggins' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Burlington, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Wiggins didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-2 defeat against Holyoke on the 24th. As for Burlington, they have also already played their next matchup, a 14-0 loss against Limon on the 24th.
