Football Game Preview: Stringer Red Devils vs. Simmons Blue Devils + Official Tickets

The Stringer Red Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Simmons Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Stringer is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Mount Olive with a sharp 36-12 victory. The win was nothing new for the Red Devils as they're now sitting on five straight.

Jaheim Campbell had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 268 yards and four scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. He has become a key player for Stringer: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. The Red Devils also got a significant boost from Kyler Gavin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stringer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 355 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in 20 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Stringer's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Jameik Johnson was the leader with two.

Meanwhile, Simmons got the win against Noxapater on Friday by a conclusive 28-8.

Stringer's record now sits at 9-2. As for Simmons, their record is now 9-0.

Stringer was dealt a bruising 46-8 defeat at the hands of Simmons in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
