It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but IDEA Riverview had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Raymondville Bearkats an 8-0 shutout. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Raymondville from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Yaretzi Lara led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

IDEA Riverview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 102 goals over those 16 contests. Raymondville's loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
