Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Eastern

Eastern extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from London Sutton. The Vikings came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 41-35 W against the Kingsway Dragons thanks in part to Sutton, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Sutton is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Leah Schuenemann was another key player, putting up three points and three steals. Eastern is 2-1 when Schuenemann posts three or more steals, but 1-2 otherwise.

The victory got Eastern back to even at 3-3. As for Kingsway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Eastern will welcome Cherry Hill East at 3:45 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Kingsway, they and Middle Township will face off at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
